Y/N'S POV

I couldn't believe what just happened. The bomb that landed on my lap was huge. The fact that Sebastian knew all along made it even worse. How was I gonna co-parent with a liar like him? That is, if he was telling the truth about the paternity test.

"We're gonna redo this paternity test first thing tomorrow morning. I really hope my daughter is not related to you cause I want you out of our lives for good."

"Y/N, we both know she is my daughter."

"We don't know sh-"

"Language!"

I just glared at him. If looks could kill, he'd be dead by now.

"If for some crazy reason the test turns out positive, how do you intend to co-parent my daughter with me?"

"I think the best way to co-parent our daughter is for you to move in with me. I live-"

"Are you out of your mind?!? Move in with you?!?"

"Yes, why not?"

"Why not? Where should I begin? You're a lying, manipulative guy who wants to take my daughter away from me for starters."

"Y/N, think about it... this way we could both be present in Jasmine's life. Believe it or not, I want the best for her. She can't grow up without a father. I know all too well what that feels like. Plus, I live closer to your job. You'd be a walking distance from it. You'd have no transportation costs or rent to pay. You'd have your own room and all. Don't worry, we wouldn't have to talk or interact more than necessary."

"If, and only if, it turns out you're the father and I decide to move in with you, I will not live here for free. I do not want you to think I'm a parasite of some sort. I-"

"I'd never think that about you."

"I didn't finish. As I was saying, if you insist on paying the rent and all, I will at least pay the difference in the electric bill, wifi, etc. It's the least I should do."

"Y/N..."

"It's either that or you'll never see me or Jasmine again."

"Fine..."

Y/N'S POV - ONE WEEK LATER

The test results had just arrived. I was currently at Sebastian's place to open it in front of him. I didn't want to risk anything. I took a deep breath and opened it. I scanned the paper until I found what I needed to know. In the matter concerning Mr. Sebastian Stan and Ms. Jasmine Elizabeth Y/LN, Mr. Sebastian Stan IS INDEED THE BIOLOGICAL FATHER of Ms. Jasmine Elizabeth Y/LN. No, it couldn't be true. I reread the sentence, but nothing changed. Sebastian was really Jasmine's biological father and there was nothing I could do about it.

"Happy now?", I asked as I shoved the paper in his chest.

He read it and he smiled. But it wasn't the kinda of smile you do when you've won a bet, it was a genuine smile. He seemed to be genuinely happy Jasmine was his daughter.

"She's mine... Jasmine is my daughter. I really am a father."

"You may be her father, but it will take a lot more than DNA for you to be her dad."

"I'll do everything I can to earn your trust and be the dad she deserves... the man you both deserve.", he said cupping my cheek with his hand.

I shoved his hand away and made my way to the stroller. Jasmine was peacefully sleeping... completely unaware of what was going on around her. Sebastian followed behind me.

"So, will you move in with me or not?"

"I don't know. I need time to process all this. I need to go home now."

"Can I at least hold my- our daughter for a while before you leave?"

"Fine..."

I gently lifted Jasmine from the stroller and put her in his arms. Sebastian immediately snuggled her into his arms. He was smiling at her and stroking her cheek.

"Hey, baby girl, it's your father here. I'm so glad you're mine and that I'm gonna be a part of your life from now on. You mean more to me than you or your momma can imagine. I love you already, sweetie."

He kissed her forehead and handed her back to me.

"Goodbye, Y/N."

I sighed and left.
