I didn't even give her the chance to come up with an excuse and called Onika.

I wasn't expecting her to answer but she actually did. Her camera was off before the call even connected so I couldn't see her. I heard music but it was quiet, too quiet for a club.

"Yes?"

"Why can't I see you?" I feel like I always have to say this when we Facetime.

"Bey, what do you want?" I could hear her drunkness in the way she spoke. 

I rolled my eyes, "I want you to turn your camera on."

She finally turned her camera on, and she was in a car. The Airpod in her ear told me everything I needed to know.

"Okay, it's on. Now what do you want?"

"Where are you at?"

Something off to the side made her giggle and she went on mute to say a single word. "We're out, it's our second to last full day so we were going to a bunch of clubs and we even went to this party."

"Alright. Bye." I hung up on her without another word and went straight to my messages with Kelly.
