8- The Nightmare Continues

Blood shed,
Tears in your eyes,
Glistening with the ghosts of your past,
Making you scream in silence.

Dark days,
Lonely nights,
Haunted by the memories that never fade,
Fearful of the demons that reside within.

How can one defeat the darkness,
When consumed by the shadows of despair?
A glimmer of hope shines bright,
But still, the nightmare continues to scare.

Deadly days,
Murderous nights,
Crying out for someone to hear,
Desperate for salvation,
From the agony and fear.

Can I continue to live like this,
In this cycle of pain and sorrow?
The answer is unclear,
As I wait for a brighter tomorrow.

Scary thoughts,
Crowded mind,
Lost in the abyss of despair,
Looking for a way out,
From the darkness that is always there.

I am the devil,
But fear does not control me,
For I know that love and peace,
Can set me free.

Waking up in the middle of a slaughter,
But with every breath I take,
I find the strength to fight,
And move forward, no matter the stake.

GENRE: DARK

This poem explores the darker emotions that we sometimes feel in life. It delves into the pain and despair that can weigh us down and make it difficult to move forward. The imagery of blood, tears, and ghosts is meant to capture the haunting quality of these emotions and the way they can linger long after the original source of the pain has passed.

However, despite the darkness that permeates this poem, there is also a sense of hope that shines through. The speaker acknowledges that they are consumed by darkness, but also recognizes that there is a tiny piece of hope that can help make things better. This sense of hope is what ultimately drives the speaker forward, even in the face of overwhelming despair.

As a writer, I believe that it's important to explore all aspects of the human experience, both light and dark. This poem is a reflection of some of the more difficult emotions that we all face at one time or another, and I hope that it can offer comfort to those who are struggling with their own pain and darkness.
