19- Fragments Of A Dream

I woke up this morning,
With fragments of a dream,
Lingering in my mind,
Like a forgotten melody.

I try to piece it together,
But the memories slip away,
Like sand through my fingers,
Fading into the day.

I remember a face,
But it's just a blur,
A voice calling out,
But I can't be sure.

Was it a memory,
Or just my imagination?
A fleeting moment of joy,
Or a figment of creation?

I'm left with these fragments,
Of a dream I can't recall,
A puzzle left unsolved,
A mystery to enthrall.

Perhaps one day I'll find,
The missing pieces to this dream,
And the fragments will form,
A picture once unseen.

Until then I'll keep searching,
For the pieces lost in time,
And cherish the fragments,
Of a dream that once was mine.

Genre: Contemporary poetry

I am thrilled to share with you "The Fragments of a Dream," a poem that explores the elusive and mysterious nature of dreams and memories.

Inspired by my own experiences of waking up with
only a few scattered images and feelings from a dream, this poem reflects on the way that our minds hold onto fragments of the things we have seen and felt, even when the full picture remains just out of reach.

As I wrote this poem, I was struck by the way that dreams can feel so real in the moment, and yet fade away so quickly once we open our eyes. I hope that "The Fragments of a Dream" will resonate with anyone who has ever found themselves grasping at the memories of a dream that feels just out of reach.

Thank you for taking the time to read this poem, and I hope that it sparks your own reflections on the nature of dreams and the ways that they shape our lives.
