Before you go dig into this book I have some disclaimers,please read them well...So here we go
DISCLAIMERS
1)THIS BOOK IS PURELY FICTION.WHICH MEANS THAT YES IT IS SET DURING THE MUGHAL TIME BUT IT IS NOT SET IN WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HINDUSTAN.IT IS SET IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DIMENSION/COUNTRY/TIME THAT IS FICTION.
2)This is fiction.I know the real Mughal empire had done a lot of injustice to the people under them who were not Muslim until maybe Emperor Akbar's era.So no this is not me trying to humanise the real Mughal empire not is it trying to erase the awful things that were done then,this is a story set far,far,far away from that.If this makes you uncomfortable,please read at your own discretion.
3)Also,I will try to stay as close as possible to the empire in terms of dressing,addressing of people,addressing of military bases etc,but it also may differ.
4)It does have the trope of first and second wife (keep your pitchforks to yourself).I know I've done this immensely terribly before but considering this is 16th/17th century based story that is based in a Muslim empire,it will be there.If you are uncomfortable with it,please read at your own discretion.If you can trust my development in my past two stories,then I hope you can trust that I will do justice to this.
5)I will have a translation to Urdu words that will be used at the beginning of the book as well as in between each book It will be updated,if it is a word that needs to be explained,e.g. it is clothing or jewellery that needs an explanation then I will try to attach pictures as well.If I miss out on any word or you want an in dept explanation,then please paragraph or online comment so I can explain it to you.
6)I've changed the concept of Harem in this book in the sense that if we look at any Mughal emperor's harem they generally had 10/20/50/100 etc women in the Harem who were essentially seen as vessels of pleasure to the Emperor.Which 1)ewww 🥴 2)not Islam and 3)I can only handle so many people in my books before I mix them up.So the Harem in this book will consist of the wives,mother/mother's,aunty,female cousins and female relatives from there on.
7)I will be using English and Urdu interchangeable but I'm going to try not to use full sentences and just some words.If I do by any chance use full sentences I will translate it immediately below in italics.
Whew that's all (Nope it's not 🫣) just one more thing.
There is no set updating schedule but I will try my utmost best to update whenever I can because I want to finish this story and not disappoint my readers.So In Sha Allah (If Allah wills),I will do so in due time.
