chapter 15 : Home sweet home

- after a week

sai gone through lots of test & she also have a hospital rehab, cause of the coma she needs to regain her body strength.

when everything is already settled sai's finally discharged from the hospital. "finally! I'm free." she stretched her body.

they are on their way to their family house in states "mom when will we be back in the Philippines?" sai asked her mom while in a car "next week sweetheart" sai nodded

as soon as they arrive in their house she was surprised from the welcome home party

"welcome home our baby princess" it was a hand written of her ate Elaine, the Second oldest of Cortez - Jimenez family

everyone welcomed her with hug and kisses from all of her family & relatives. the last one who welcome her is her dada (grand father) still in his wheelchair & oxygen mask.

"welcome home sweetheart" her dada greet her, sai hugs & kissed her dada cheeks "thank you." she smiled sweetly

sai looked around, looking for someone, she knows her dada is missing. "grandpa where's grandma?" she asked still looking around

a hint of sadness is in his eyes but he looked at sai warmly & smiled to reassure her grand daughter

"your dada is on the hospital in the country side sweetheart. she needs a quiet place & clean fresh air. though no visitors are allowed so I'm stuck in here with the nurses." he chuckled

for a father, husband & a grandfather it really is painful. what would you do if you're in his shoes. wanting to give up? in his case he wanted to but he can't.

he doesn't want to be selfish wanting to die. his son & daughter give all of their best to save him, they needed him.

life is short might at least spend it with your family. his wife might passed away first but she won't be happy if she sees that her husband already give up & died.

maybe until his last breath, he'll spend it with his family 'hon wait for me, I will be late but I promise to come in your side soon. you just wait & I'll surely come' he said to himself

everyone already knows sai condition. it is pretty serious & sensitive case, everyone's afraid for sai to find out her grandma death.

on the spot of her grandma accident she had a cardiac arrest when she saw the lifeless body of her grandma infront of her.

so to not make it harder for sai body & memory loss for now they decided to hide the truth of their beloved mom & grandma death

sadness can be seen in sai face, this is the first time her grandma isn't around to welcome her when their's a celebration. it's always been her grandma & grandpa who greeted everyone.

everyone knows in the family that the two of them always stay side by side, they never leave each other company. they are the perfect example of a loving happy couple.

"are you sad that it was me who greeted my precious grand daughter & not your dada." her grandpa said jokingly. sai shakes her head & holds her dada hands.

"dada I can't compare you and grandma. both of you are incomparable. two is better than one.

you know that I love you both, no one can compare you both. I'm lucky & will always be thankful for you & grandma that you brought dad in the world.

without you & grandma I wouldn't be here standing & holding your hand & say how much thankful I'am to be born in this family.

without you & grandma things will turn differently. thank you so much dada. I love you." sai hugged her dada
