Chapter 19: Double date

Today was your day off work, so you spent the whole day watching tv, alone, as Verosika was at work today. You sit in the living room, waiting for Verosika to get home.

Y/n: Come on... any minute now.

You hear the front door open and close, followed by footsteps.

Verosika: Y/n, im hooome!

You hear the footsteps get closer, until Verosika walks into the living room.

Y/n: Welcome home! How was your day?

Verosika walks over to you and sits next to you on the couch.

Verosika: Good! I actually have a little surprise!

Y/n: Oh?

Verosika: Ace and Josh invited us on a double date!

Y/n: Oh! That sounds fun! But for when?

Verosika: Later tonight at some restaurant Ace knows.

Y/n: Thats so Ace, he always knows all the best restaurants and bars.

Verosika: He does?

Y/n: Yeah, you should have seen him the other week on our night out, he knew all the great bars.

Verosika: Huh, you learn something new everyday i guess. Anyway, you should start getting ready now.

Y/n: Gotcha.

Verosika giggles and kisses your cheek, before leaving the living room.

Outside of the restaurant

Y/n: This is definitely where they told us to meet up, right?

Verosika: Yeah... there i was worrying about us being late.

Y/n: I got ready three hours before we had to leave, just for them to be late.

Verosika: Haha... Again, sorry about that. Im sure they'll be here soon though!

Y/n: I hope so...

After not much more waiting, Ace and Josh finally show their faces.

Ace: Hey you two! Sorry for making you wait.

Y/n: Finally! Lucifer, what took you two so long?

Josh: Cut us some slack, its a Friday night, traffic was crazy.

Verosika: Well how come we got here without any traffic?

Ace: Boy im hungry! Lets go in and get some food!

Y/n: You didnt answer her questio-

Ace: Hungry, food, restaurant, now!

Inside the restaurant

Ace: Reservation for Ace?

Waitress: Yeah man just go and sit where ever.

Verosika: How proffesional of her.

The four of you find a table and get sat down. You all also order your food.

Y/n: This place seems fancy and all, Ace... But the staff... could be better.

Ace: Yeah i apologise for that, they must've got new staff since i was last here. Trust me, the staff used to be good.

Y/n: I'll take your word for it.

Verosika: The staff still sucks though.

Josh: Lets try and change the topic from the staff. Oh! I just remembered that you two have been a couple for nearly a whole year now.
