Chapter 17

Jason's POV:

We race to set. The director stares at me angrily.

"I thought you guys were professionals." The director smiles at us smugly. Aria's face drops.

"Sorry, time slipped from us." I say honestly. He gives us a skeptical look but doesn't say anything.

"Get to your positions. We only have two hours to shoot today." He walks away.

"He didn't seem this mean at auditions." Aria says.

"Quiet. He might hear you."

"LIGHTS! CAMERA! And. ACTION."

Looking into her eyes, it was hard to remember my lines. What are my lines? Um, I just have to improv.

"You're so pretty." I blurt it out like someone was controlling my mouth. She raised an eyebrow. Instantly confused, she doesn't say anything. The lights stop and the camera stops rolling.

"What?" She questioned. My mouth closed tightly.
"What did you say?"

"Um, nothing. I didn't say anything. What were my lines again?" I asked.

"Did you even read your script before coming?" The director sternly asked.

"Yes?" I answered.

"That sounds like a question. You got ten minutes to review." He said.
