Chapter 21

Aria's POV:

Justin and I walked back to the hotel. I was laughing at some joke he told me when the light came on.

"Just because you had a day off doesn't mean you can be unreachable." My manager stood there. Her face had a stumber expression.

"I didn't know you were my mom," I said, of course, without thinking. She looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "Sorry."

"It was my fault. I shouldn't have kept her out so late," Justin said. I tried to keep myself from smiling.

Her expression remained unchanged. My phone rang. Both of them were staring at me. I quickly looked down at the caller's I.D.

"Uh, it's Jason."

"And why does he have your number?" Justin stepped back from me. I feel like a little girl getting into trouble for the first time.

"Because he's my co-star?" I say this more like a question than a statement.

"And that means he can have your number?"

"I didn't know I had to get permission from you to give my number out."

He rolls his eyes.

"It's late, I should go to bed." I said. He leaves, slamming the door behind him. I say goodnight to my manager and jump into bed.

*Next morning*

Why is my alarm blaring at 6 o'clock am? The door opens but I don't see who walks in. Something soft hits me and I jolt awake.

"What the hell?!" I yell. Jason's smiling face is standing over me with a decorative pillow.

"Who let you in here? Why are you here?" I question him. He chuckles, putting down the pillow.

"Come on, we have to run lines."

"We don't film today. Do we?" I ask. Ther is a part of me that regrets asking. He could say yes as punishment.

"No, but the director wants us to be ready for our upcoming scenes."

"I'll believe you-this time."
