Emily's POV

"Care to explain to me why you have bruises all over your face?"

"I ran into a pole" I blurted, attempting to hide my face.

"Bullshit" he yelled, walking towards me, peeling my hands off my face so he could inspect the bruises on my face. I stood sill as Logan held my face gently in his hands and looked around my face. His thumb slowly reached up, merely touching the bruise on my cheek, the brief touch causing me to squirm away slightly. His eyes darkened at this as his eyes reconnected with mine.

"Who did this?" I brought my hands up, cupping his cheek, shooting him a small smile, despite the pain blossoming up my cheeks.

"No one, I'm really tired, I just want to sleep" At my words, his eyes softened and he tucked his hands underneath me, picking me up bridal style before taking us towards the bathroom in the bedroom.

Slowly, he placed me on the bathroom counter, cleaning my wounds without uttering a single word. Once he was done, he carried me towards the bed and got inside after placing me in, covering us both with the covers. I soon felt him pull me into his chest and turn the lights off, silence conquering us completely.

"You might not want to tell me now Em, but I will find out, and when I do, I will kill them" he suddenly whispered to me. I decided to ignore his comment, and snuggled closer to him, finding myself slowly falling asleep.

*****

I was in a familiar area.

The narrow street, the faded bricks, the muddy floors.

Why did it all look so familiar?

My eyes roamed around the area, trying to catch a glimpse of anything that would remind me of where I was standing. But nothing surrounded me. I decided to explore the area, and soon found my feet guiding me towards the end of the street. My feet clicked against the wet floors, my eyes searched for anything at all to uncover the reason I had been delivered here.

I didn't remember much, just that I had somehow found myself making my way somewhere.

I arrived the end of the street, my eyes looking around the corner.

My eyes widened at the sight ahead of me, and a gasp escaped my lips at the scene.

Cops, everywhere.

They surrounded one man. A man who was on his knees on the floor, his hands on his heads, a broken expression on his face.

Their guns all faced him, but not one made a move.

I found myself walking further towards him until his eyes caught mine.

"RUN!" he managed to yell at me, but his very words that intended to save me did the worst to him.

They didn't hesitate before the cops were firing right at him.

Right at Logan Miller.

He collapsed on to the ground, I found myself collapsing to my knees at the scene.

Everything I lived for had just been taken away from me.

The man I loved, had been stripped out from my life.

They killed him.

"NO!"

"Emily, wake up!" I heard someone say from the other side of me, shaking me.

The touch felt so real.
