Olivia-

"This one or this one?" Cassie said holding up two outfits

"Definitely that one" I said pointing to the one on the right

"Are you really wearing that? I mean it's carnival, don't you want to dress like hot?"

"First of all I don't have anyone to impress, you do"

"What about Nate?"

"What about him?"

"Aren't you guys like a thing?"

"I don't know Cassie I mean he hasn't like confirmed anything"

"Well you're at least riding the Ferris wheel with me"

"Okay" I laughed

Skip to getting to the carnival

"Hey guys!" Rue said walking up to us arm in arm with Jules

"Hey" I said awkwardly, it was hard to look at Jules knowing what Nate was doing to her, I just had to keep reminding myself why he was doing it

"So Liv, you and Nate huh?" Rue said

"Oh um yeah kinda I guess"

"I thought you like hated him?" Rue laughed. We used to talk so much shit about Nate it was unreal, that was of course when we were friends and before she started doing drugs

"Yeah I don't know it just kinda happened I guess"

"Cool" she nodded her head

"Okay well we're gonna go" Cassie said linking her arm with mine

"You go find McKay and I'll meet you at the booth?" I asked turning towards her

"Yeah okay"

I walked through the crowds, dodging the drunk people who were dizzy from the rides. I heard screaming coming from above and when I looked up I saw Kat and Ethan riding the Ferris wheel and reaching the top, now that's one couple that 100% has my support, they are literally adorable.

When I finally reached the booth I was greeted by cal

"Olivia, it's so nice to see you how have you been" he said extending his hand

"I'm great how are you?" I said shaking it

He nodded his head and Nate whipped around coming over to me and grabbing my hand.

"I'm glad you came" he said softly

I gave him a tight lipped smile and he led me into the booth

"Liv would you like any chili?" Marsha said bringing over a bunch of bowls

"Oh no thank you but I can help you set up?"

"That would wonderful"

I walked over and started assembling cups and placing out napkins and spoons

Soon Cassie and McKay showed up at the booth and Nate and him did the whole bro thing.

"So are you guys like a couple?" Nate said pointing between the two

"Nah we just chilling" as soon as he said that Cassie shot me a look and then shot McKay a death glare. How could he say that?

"Your chilling?"

"Yeah we just chilling"

Cal struck up conversation about football and winning while Cassie and I just gave looks back and forth to each other

Soon though they left and I'm sure I would be receiving multiple texts from her later about this.

"Come on let's go" Nate said nodding his head towards the carnival and grabbing my hand

I gave him a smile and let him lead me out of the booth. Soon we were walking side by side  passing the rides and all the drunk happy people

"I'm glad you came, I didn't know if you would"

"Nate I'll always be there for you, whether I'm pissed or not it doesn't matter"

He came towards me and hugged me, putting his head on top of my mine

"We should probably get back to the booth"

"Okay"

The next couple hours were spent handing out chili and talking to Nate's parents. They were assholes, both of them but cal was the worst. Everything Nate said he criticized and for some reason he loved to talk about how girlfriends were a distraction. He was weird and I honestly could barley look him in the eyes knowing the whole situation with Jules.

Finally they crowned the Jacobs family as the winner, just as they do every year. I really don't know how they manage to win, their chili is bland and gross but I think it's more about social status then anything, plus they really don't have any competitors so they always win.

"Yeah I'm not supposed to be here right now because I'm dressed like a hooker and none of you like me but I just wanted to say congratulations" Maddy said coming to the front from the crowd of clapping people

"Maddy get out of here"

Without hesitation Maddy walked up and shoved the big pot of chili to the ground, making it spill everywhere

"What in gods name is your problem!" Marsha yelled

"You cunt" she spat

Before I knew it Nate grabbed my hand ripping me away from the booth, he started walking. Fast. Leading me to god knows where. Finally he stopped once we reached some trailers

"Will you slow down?" I said grabbing my wrist back

"She knows"

"What?"

"Maddy she knows that's why she's doing this she knows about the tape"

"How the fuck would Maddy know about the tape?"

"She must have saw it" he said pacing back and forth

"Nate the only way she could have seen it is if she took it and how would she even get it?"

He dropped his hands from his head and hung his head

"Nate are you fucking serious!? She was over at your house!" I yelled

"Liv"

"No fuck you nate! Fuck you" I started to walk away but was he grabbed my wrist

"Let me go you asshole!" I yelled

"Liv just listen to me"

"No!"

Next thing I knew I felt a hard shove against the trailer and Nate's hands against my neck. He started squeezing hard, like too hard

"Listen to me! Just shut up for one god damn second in your life and listen to me!" He screamed in my face, somehow squeezing tighter.

I could barley breath and he wasn't letting up, I made as big of whimpers as I could, trying to get as much sound out as possible. I reached my hand up and tried to pry his off. Finally he realized enough was enough and let go. I fell to the ground coughing and grabbing my neck. Next came the sobs, the loud hard one that hit you right where it hurts. I looked up to see Nate hovering over me with a look of pure terror on his face. I guess he realized what he had just done.

You could tell he didn't really know what to do. He bent down next to me and I actually saw a few tears coming out onto his cheeks. His hand hovered above my leg, but before he could touch me I jumped up to my feet.

"Liv" he whispered, sounds very apologetic

"I'm going home Nate" I said calmly before walking away

Okay this chapter was so fun to write! Also I know it's not exactly like the show but I really couldn't come up with any ideas as to why Nate would be choking Maddy instead of Liv so yeah...
