someone explain why, when an OC has been in the glade for approx. 1 day, they're already using glader slang in every single sentence

to me it's like an accent. if you're american and go to england, you'll have to stay for years to develop an accent. now, slang doesn't take years of course, but the words are really foreign and probably hard to get used to. even chuck was having trouble after being there for a month.

in short, the glader slang is probably something the OC would get used to as time went on, not 24 hours after they entered the glade!!
