My heart thunders in my chest, as we shuffle about in the hallway, migrating to the deck.

The closer we got the more crowded the hallways got, several other passengers all heading in the same direction.

Murders had dropped, it went from a few people a day to no one at all yet the fear evident in everyone only increased, for the only thing scarier than a spider in your room is when it disappears in your room, lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike.

Static crackles from the speakers and that sickly upbeat tune played.

"Well, well, this little mingling event may not go as happily as intended.

(Y/n), made you're mind up yet? Hm, your choice could save others.

Cheerio. Xoxo."

Why me! The message causes clear unrest among the formerly silent people. Their whispers lingering in the air.

"Who's (y/n)?"

"Will the murders stop if we find this (y/n) person?"

"Do you think she's the cause of this?"

"Should we... find her and hand her over?"

My eyes nervously shift among the people, would they really sacrifice me like that? No one knows my name except well, the whole investigative unit. 11 people? 9 out of which, I only met on this cruise. Surely they wouldn't out me?

"Are you crazy isn't that the same as handing a pig over for slaughter?"

"Would you rather several others die instead,"

"Why should innocent people like us suffer because this (y/n) person got lumped in with the wrong crowd,"

"One life in exchange for many,"

"A life is still a life," Namjoon rather loudly says, loud enough for several others to stop their whispering "and everyones life is important, there are people out there who care for them, people who would be devastated upon losing her, people who would mourn for her,"

Far in the corner, another man, wearing suspenders and looks about the same age as Namjoon clears his throat, everyones heads diverting to him "Well, I'd rather her family mourn rather than mine over me. I've got a five year-old son at home, what wrong has he done to lose his father,"

"What if she had a son too? Are you going to rob her son of a mother? What wrong has he done to lose his mother?" Noah added, causing the susurration of the crowd to increase. Although a complete lie, it's an effective one undoubtedly.

I mouth a 'thank you' to both Namjoon and Noah. Their rebuttals may have temporarily eased peoples qualms, but it definitely hasn't dismissed them entirely.

Taehyung POV:

Her shoulders slumped, her own arms hugging herself as her eyes dart around the crowds.

Even without Namjoon hyung translating, I have a rough idea on what the people around us had said and their words are upsetting her.

Not knowing what to do exactly, I could only follow the crowd, hovering behind her. Thinking of what to say or do.

Maybe I should... ah no no, that wouldn't end well.

"Taehyung-ah, what are you doing?" Hobi hyung nudges my side, whispering, well tries too. He can't whisper for the love of all things good.

"Walking. How is Jin hyung coping with walking?"

He nudges me some more, his arm linking with mine "Jin hyung is doing just fine,"
