Things have been quiet. Too quiet.

Two whole days pass, no one slept in the room where the 'ghost' came from, opting to take turns for the bed in the main room. Lorraine would come by in the evenings with Noah, the three of us and Namjoon trying to deduce the possible staff involved to no avail. It usually ends up with the very same dialogue of Lorraine saying 'shut up Noah'. Taehyung and I too embarrassed to even hold eye contact for more than 10 seconds.

The most unsettling thing is the lack of abductions and bodies found. He's planning something ...or dead, I pray it's the latter.

"(Y/n), focus!" Lorraine snaps her fingers at me.

"Sorry," I mumble back. Lorraine still looks annoyed, she really didn't like slackers or people who zone out.

"It's okay (y/n)," Namjoon intervenes, my saviour from her wrath "Ms. Lee here was just telling us about what we plan to do. She wants you, Taehyung and Jungkook to walk to Jins room and back,"

"Why?"

"Well," Lorraine began "two of you are targets, I want to see if they're following you. So take note on any surrounding noises and possible shuffling in the ceilings. If he has people following you then we'll work from there,"

"What about Jungkook then?" My gaze flickers to the young ink-haired man, currently in the middle of trying to balance himself between the doorframe of the bathroom.

"He's like a safety measure, in case the killer attacks," Namjoon elaborated.

Everyones gaze shifted to him now, with his left leg and arm pressed on one side of the doorframe, his right leg and arm pressed on the other as he advanced upwards, hitting his head right into the top of the doorframe.

"Jungkook-ah gwaenchana?"  Namjoon calls out, concerned but not surprised.
(Jungkook, you okay?)

He looks at everyone with wide doe eyes before nodding and continuing his descent back to the ground.

"Are we sure?" Lorraine asks, wincing slightly as Jungkook now nursed the back of his head, Taehyung jogging over to him to inspect the injury.

"Jungkook can be a monster when he wants too."

Contrary to Namjoons rather malicious description of Jungkook, he looks at the two proudly. He's not wrong, I've seen him when Taehyung got hurt, it's a different person.

After ensuring his head was alright, we were essentially shoved out the door by Lorraine. An ominous silence hung in the hallway, I wasn't sure if it's paranoia or if I generally felt like we were being watched. A few people passed us, some eyeing the two men beside me strangely but none stopping to talk, but still their stares weren't like the ones I felt on the back of my head.

Glancing over my shoulder, I find no one.

Thump. Thump.

I glance behind again, I'm sure I heard something, against the wall, but no one was there.

I'm just paranoid, that is all.

Clang!

My hand rushed up in front of my face, this time my body fully turned around. One of the decorative mirrors from the walls lay on the floor, its glass cracked.

Jungkook POV:

What is she doing?

Those hands couldn't even fight a can of tuna, her positioning is all wrong and Taehyung hyung is only looking at her as if she were a lost puppy. In times like this knowing a little self-defence is useful.
