"Sometimes we refuse to see how bad something is until it completely destroys us."

The day a man chooses to hit me,
I'm going to show him why I look so much like my dad.
I know my worth,
Do you?

So why do you let him?
Slap!
Slap is what you hear, it's what you feel.
You cry and when he comes back you run back to him
Why?

Yes, love makes you do stupid things
But being abused?
Isn't it enough to make you want to leave?
To get as far away from him as possible?
So why do you run back every time he calls?
Love yourself!

Open your eyes
They say love is blind,
And they are right.
When are you going to realize you're better than that?
That you are worth more than any half-assed apology he could ever give you.

When you ask God why you, just know
None of it is your fault.
A weak man can't love a strong woman,
He wouldn't know what to do with her even if he tried.

You are strong
You are loved
So love yourself and walk away,
Is this pain worth losing yourself?
