I never knew I'd have to live without you,
It's been years,
But for me the wound feels so recent,
It hurts so much,
Knowing my life will never be the same without you,
So why did you leave,
Why did you become one of those persons I had to forget,
I tried so hard to believe,
That we'd be together forever,
I guess you didn't care,
But I guess it's my fault,
I didn't try harder,
Maybe then we'd still be bestfriends,
Maybe then you'd still care for me,
Every time I hear your name,
The pain comes back every time,
I remember as the tears roll out of my eyes,
I looked at you,
Begged you not to leave me,
You didn't even look back,
That day you left a hole in my heart,
That only you can fill,
But I guess in a way you helped me,
Open my eyes and showed me the only person I should depend on is myself.
