By the time Aurelia and Killian found the source of the noise, Lily was gone. Emma and Mary Margaret were leaning over David who was lying on the ground, blood seeping from his head.

"David! What happened?" she asked, running over.

"He hit his head. Hard" Emma said.

Aurelia leaned next to him, cradling his face in her hands. "Stay still," she said, her voice quiet. "You'll be okay."

Focusing on the wound, everyone watched as her hair glowed, the wound on his head slowly closing. "There you go. How do you feel?" she asked.

"Better" he sighed. "I'm so sorry. For everything."

"David, you don't have to apologize," she said.

"No, I do. I was selfish" he said.

"Maybe you were. But today I was too. I almost hurt someone to protect you. Heroes aren't perfect, I get that now. But I can't stay mad at you forever. Just...no more lies, promise?" she asked, holding out her pinky.

"I promise," he said, smiling as he wrapped his finger around hers.

There's a saying that things get worse before they get better. Aurelia was still waiting on things to get better. So far things, were just getting worse.

Regina managed to use a drop of Lily's blood to create the ink the author needed to start writing new stories. But Gold got to him first. And now it was only a matter of time before everything was rearanged.

Everyone was gathered in the Sorcerer's mansion, looking for some clue in the empty storybooks about what Gold was going have to written.

"Nothing" Regina sighed, tossing a book to the floor. "They're all still blank. Whatever the author's writing, it's not appearing in the books. This is useless."

"Easy! This is not your fault" Robin said to her.

"Even so, tomorrow, thanks to Gold and the author, I could wake up a talking frog" Regina said.

"At least you'll wake up, I don't doubt whatever the Dark One has in store for me is a far worse fate" Killian said.

"He won't kill you. He hates you too much. Probably just torture you for eternity and make you suffer" Aurelia said, quickly realizing what she said. "Sorry. But at least you wouldn't be dead!"

Killian only gave her a tight lipped smile, squeezing her arm, not telling her that if that were the case, he'd rather be dead.

"Well, there's no use speculating what he wants, we just need to stop it. And if there's nothing useful here, we need to move on. Find something else that can help" David said.
