You have always been
Like a mother to me.
In fact, you still are
Currently.
This is by me,
w/ a nudge from Gwene,
no particular rhyme scheme,
the lyrics to this poem free.
I have a few words,
that I'd like to say,
although, it's true, I
don't say them everyday:
Thank you for being there
whenever I needed an ear,
thank you for being there
throughout all of these years.
Thank you for being,
my ride everywhere,
(although, I know that with that one
you must've shed a few tears).
Thank you for introducing new foods to me,
'cause, to be honest, I'm a real foodie.
Thank you for helping my dad, because
I know that's definitely not an easy task.
My cousin also says thanks,
for basically being her mom,
and so does Miss. K,
X, S, D, H, K, and Z's mom.
You take people in,
you try to help them grow,
and even if you didn't know,
we're pretty grateful you
Mother
Of
Many.
So, I wish you a Happy Mother's Day.
A poem I wrote for my great aunt on Mother's Day that I felt like sharing because why not? (Great aunt meaning my dad's aunt. Although, she is pretty great;)
