What is
music
to you?
Music to me
is an escape-
an escape from reality.
A melody that
momentarily allows me
to forget of my hardships.
Music can also
be a relatable source.
It may remind me of something
from my past,
giving me nostalgia
or allowing me to
start reminiscing
things long forgiven
but not forgotten.
Music makes me want to
sing and dance
cry and sob
scream and shout
lose myself in the beats
and the beautiful sounds of
soothing voices
listening to
the emotion brought out by the singer (s).
Music to me
is a place
to let out my emotions
that have been bottled up
for far too long,
letting them out
in just
one
song.
