(Chapter 21)
"Into the Unknown"

Monday, March 16
2:00pm

"Hey, Jill," Shae approached Jillian in the hallway after school.

"Oh, hey."

"You okay?"

"Yeah, just pretty tired."

"How was your date?"

"I got home super late, so that should tell you."

"Damn, good job."

"Come on, let's go," Jillian laughed.

Jillian and Shae went out to the parking lot together.

"I actually spent last night with Jackson," Shae told her.

"Is that why you seen extra happy today?"

"Yes!"

"Then tell Jackson he's the best."

"He is!"

"I'm really happy for you."

"So, do you want to do something this week? We haven't had much time together lately."

"Yeah, sure, I-" Jillian stopped short.

"What?"

"Oh, my god..."

"What??"

"There," Jillian pointed straight ahead.

"Where??" Shae looked around.

"THERE!"

The masked Admirer stood all the way across the parking lot staring right at the both of them.

"Oh, my god," Shae gasped.

"You're seeing this too, right?"

"...yeah..."

"Who is that??"

"I don't know..."

He continued to stand still, never breaking his gaze.

"How long is he just going to stand there?" Jillian whispered.

"If the goal was to creep you out... I think he's doing very well."

"He's still just standing there..."

"Jill?"

Shae and Jillian both whipped around at the sound of Darren's voice.

"Darren!" Jillian gasped.

"Whoa, what's up?" He asked, startled.

"Over there!"

The three of them turned back...
But, he was gone.

"Whoa, that was really some Michael Myers shit," Shae muttered.

"What happened?" Darren asked.

"There was a guy in a mask over there staring at us."

"Again?"

"I saw it too this time," Shae told him.

"I told you there's someone watching me again in that stupid mask," Jillian argued.

"Oh, god... come on, let's go," Darren took her arm.

"Where are we going?"

"Anywhere."

"I'm coming too," Shae said.

"Then let's go to your house," Jillian suggested.

"Alright, let's go."
