Hey guys! So here some facts about my book that you probably didn't know. Enjoy!
1 it took me two years to come up with the plot of this fanfic.
2 Tigly was originally going to have long brown hair, and a single braid down her back, but when looking for pictures of Viking girls for the cover of my book, there were an extreme shortage for the look I was going for. And red hair was a strong second, and since Stoic had red hair, I figured it was fitting.
3 I got the idea for the name "Tigly" from Peter pan's Tiger Lilly. She has always been my favorite character, and I wanted Tigly to be kinda like her. So I took the first three letters from "Tiger" and the last two letters from "Lilly", and BOOM you've got Tigly.
4 Tigly's best friend, Vivian, was based off of my childhood imaginary friend. I would often imagine her and I going on adventures into the books I read, and movies I watched. Like Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of The Rings, etc.
5 Tigly's dragon was originally going to be a Triple Strike, but I fell in love with the Deathsong, and made that her dragon instead.
6 I was going to do a fanfic about another girl being Daggur's sister, but after Heather appeared in the series, I switched over to hiccup.
7 Chapter XI, The Chimera Berry Incident, was a complete spur-of-the-moment thing. I knew how I was going to start the chapter, but I then decided to do the whole thing with Threk eating the hallucinogens at the last second. I obviously chose the title of the chapter after I finished it.
8 I wasn't originally going to do the time skip, like I did chapter XV, but I figured things were getting a little boring for you guys, and you needed some action. So I decided to hurry on with my plot, and do the time skip to nine years later.
9 if How To Train Your Dragon was a live action film, and my book as made into a movie, I would have Threk cast as Thomas Brodie Sangster
