Adriano takes off my blindfold and I'm in a completely new room. This room has white walls and a single metal bed in the middle. There's one window with curtains and a door with a window right opposite the bed.

'There's no TV,' I mutter.

'Does this look like a hotel to you?' Alessandro asks and I just roll my eyes.

'Alora should be coming with a new change of clothes.' Adriano explains.

'I want to see Mimi.' I say.

Alessandro freezes in place and turns to me.

'She's busy taking care of Rory.' He replies coldly. 'Our daughter.'

My heart sinks.

That girl has no idea who I am.

'If you need anything, we don't care.' Adriano says.

'Fuck you.' I spit.

Alessandro and Adriano both walk out, leaving me alone.

ADRIANO'S POV:
I pace back and forth the living room.

Was taking Dilara a good idea? What if Christianto comes for her? Then we'll be ready.

But what if I become attracted to her again. It's not good if we spend too much time together.

'Xuan you're on Dilara duty,' I command.

'Why me?' He asks. 'She's your prisoner.'

'I can afford to have any....distractions.' I reply.

Oh so she's a distraction now?

No she's not.

'How long are you going to keep her here?' Zoya asks.

'Until she gives us the answers we need.' I say.

'Maybe you want to keep her here longer?' Terzo smirks.

I glare at him and Lorenzo laughs.

'She's crazy, she shot Jasmine.' Matteo says.

'Can I see her?' Mimi asks.

'No, it's not safe,' I reply, shaking my head. 'We're going to get information out of her, and then Vittoria can deal with her.'

'I want to see her.' Fouzia says.

'No,' I reply.

'As the wife of the heir of the mafia, I'm going to see her.' She says. 'That's final.'

I narrow my eyes.

'Fine, come with me.' I say.

I take Fouzia down to the basement and unlock the door, we walk into the room and see Dilara sprawled on her bed.

She sits up and smiles.

'What did I do to deserve such caring visitors.' She says sarcastically.

'It's good to properly meet Adriano's ex.' Fouzia says coldly.

Dilara gets up and walks towards her, glaring daggers.

'You can call me Leader of The Ravens.' Dilara snaps. 'Something you won't even get close to being.'

The anger in Dilara's eyes says everything. If I weren't here she would rip Fouzia to shreds.

Part of me wants her to, part of me just wants to see her unhinged.

She goes to hit Fouzia and I step in, grabbing her hand.

'Behave.' I warn.

'When I'm around you, I just want to do the opposite.' She says, batting her eyelashes.

Fouzia clears her throat.

'You're little wife is waiting for you.' She says, looking up at me with those big, honey brown eyes that I could just drown in.

Those dangerous eyes.

'Fouzia, you can leave now,' I say. 'I need to speak to Dilara.'

'But-' she starts.

'Now.' I command.

I hear the door close behind us.

'You're not going to kill me.' She mutters.

'It's tempting, but I very much need you alive.' I reply.

She moves closer towards me.

Too close.

'Do you promise I'll get out of here alive?' She asks quietly.

I stay silent.

'You have my word.' I lie.

It's Vittoria's choice whether she lives or dies.

'Your word doesn't mean much.' She says.

'And why would I lie to you?' I ask, crossing my arms and not looking away from her.

'You've done it before.' She replies without hesitation.

She continues walking towards me and my back hits the wall.

'They will come looking for me.' She says. 'And when they do, I'll enjoy watching you burn.'

'You don't scare me.' I say.

'Then why is your heart beating so fast?' She asks, touching my chest.

She's right, my hearts going crazy but I choose to ignore it.

I can't take risks, especially with her.

'I will always be two steps ahead of you.' I say.

'You will never beat me.' She replies.

'I don't believe in never.' I taunt.

'I don't believe in always.' She countered.

'You know what they say, opposites attract.'

'Never.' She raises an eyebrow.

'Always.' I finish, smirking.

She leans closer to me and her eyes go down to my lips, I lean in closer.

I need to stop, before it's too late.

Before she traps me with her little tricks.

Her soft lips brush against mine, and all I can think about is how much further we can go.

Her arms find their way around my neck and my hands are placed on her waist.

'Let me go,' she breathes.

I come back to my senses and stand up straight, clearing my throat.

'Nice try.' I snap.

'It was worth a shot.' She shrugs, walking back to her bed.

Her baggy shirt rides up her thighs and she sits down and I quickly avert my eyes to the wall.

She smirks, seeing my reaction and her eyes travel my body.

Get her out of your head.
