Chapter 13- Promise
When I woke up I was back at the base.
The first person I saw was Ms. Hankins. "Are you feeling alright"? She said in a motherly voice. "Yes" I said while getting up slowly. "How long was I out". "Three days" she replied. "Jasmine, sweetie I know it might be hard but I need you to tell me everything".
It took me a few minuets to tell her about all of the things that happened. "I can't believe it" Ms. Hankins said sadly. "Jasmine we buried your father in a grave yard a few blocks from here, if you want". "No" I said with the best smile I could possibly put on. "Its ok I just want to be alone for a while"
About 30 minuets later I was standing in front of my father's grave. Trying to hold back my tears I said in a low voice " I promise you I will get revenge and I will destroy that machine even if it costs my life in the end I will".
