"hi guys! welcome to or welcome back to my channel. i'm adelaide if you didn't know. this is my boyfriend, colby. these are some of my best friends, tara and jake. and then behind the camera we have sam and kat." i announced, both of them peaking their heads around the camera to wave.
"so today we're going to be playing the song association game." colby said.
"so you'll kinda of get it as we go but basically adelaide and i are a team and then jake and colby are a team. sam will tell us a word and we have to sing a song with that word in it and then kat will be keeping score." tara said to the camera.
"so whoever's team sings first gets the point?" jake asked.
"yep." i responded.
"okay, your first word is beautiful." sam said.
"THATS WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL." tara and i yelled the lyrics to the most basic one direction song ever. we both looked at each other and gasped since we said it at the same time.
"i'm surprised you didn't get that one colbs." i laughed.
"yeah i thought you were a bigger one direction fan than us." tara laughed.
"hey i'm just not on my game yet. give it a few rounds." he laughed back to us.
"your next word is devil." sam said. and colby got one almost immediately.
"don't say a word while we danced with the devil!" colby yelled. and his team got the point with ocean drive by duke dumont.
"one to one." kat announced. "wait we need team names!"
"we'll be the directioners!" tara announced, making me laugh and agree.
"we'll throw it back to old times and we'll be the beanie boys." jake announced.
"ooo that's a good one." colby laughed.
"okay so your next word is toothbrush."
"OH! pack yourself a toothbrush dear, pack yourself a favorite blouse." i sang the words to sleep on the floor by the lumineers.
"oh damn that was a good one." kat laughed off to the side. "2 to 1!"
"the next word is.... coffee." sam announced.
"and the coffees out at the beach wood cafe!" i sang again.
"what song is that?" sam laughed.
"falling by harry styles." i said, giving him a duh look.
"alright 3-1" kat said.
"your next word is sex." sam said.
"let's talk about sex baby." jake sang, laughing.
"awh you asshole that's what i was going to sing." i laughed.
"3-2" kat announced.
"the next word is sunflower." he announced.
"sunflower my eyes want your more than a melody." i sang another harry styles song while colby and tara sang over top of me.
"you're a sunflower. i think your love would be too much." colby sang. ah good old post malone.
"she's a sunflower, she's my one flower." tara sang sunflower by frank sinatra. i've never realized how many good songs say sunflower.
"okay so should we just do a point for each team then?" kat asked.
"i guess." i told her, everyone agreeing.
"okay so we're at 4-3" she told us.
"next word is dentist." sam laughed. we all knew where this was going.
"MOUTH WIDE OPEN, MOUTH WIDE OPEN. MOUTH WIDE OPEN LIKE I WAS AT THE DENTIST." we all yelled the lyrics to the cupcake song. ah that was also a good one.
"two points to each team cause that was great." sam laughed.
"6-5" kat announced.
"the next word is shame."
"OH! uh uh got no shame... i love the way you're screaming my name?" i said, singing what i hoped was the correct lyrics to no shame by 5sos.
"oh my gosh i didn't even think of that! 7-5!" kat announced.
"your next word is yellow." sam said.
"black and yellow, black and yellow, black and yellow!" jake yelled, making us laugh.
"ah shit i was thinking of pink + white by frank ocean. i can't think of the lyrics!" i said.
"oh! uhhh if the sky is pink and white. if the ground is black and yellow." colby said, stating the lyrics to the song i was thinking of.
"that's it!" i said.
"sooo 7-6" kat announced.
"your next word is player." sam told us.
"never gonna love me but it's alright she thinks i'm an asshole she thinks i'm a player." colby said.
"ah that's a good one. i had nothing." tara said.
"so 7-7" kat informed us of our score.
"the next word is slow." sam told us.
"all i wanna do is ride slow yeah yeah." jake sang the russ song.
"7-8! there's only a few more rounds." kat told us.
"the next word is underwear." sam said.
"she looks so perfect standing there in my american apparel underwear!" tara and i sang together, very obnoxiously and loud.
"your next word is moon." sam said, making all of us think.
"OH! it's just me, her and the moon." i sang the one direction song that finally clicked in my mind.
"oh shit. fly me to the moon would've been a good one." jake said.
"8-8."
"the next word is moment."
"where do we go back. this is the moment..." jake sang the lyrics to can't hold us.
"ooo nice 8-9" kat said.
"the next word is girl."
"you might have moved on but girl you should know that i-e-i-e-i know you're still the one." i sang. ah another amazing one direction song.
"9-9!" kat announced
"your next word is brother."
"best friends brother is the one for me!" i sang,
making everyone laugh.
"so 10-9. there's only 2 more words." kat informed us.
"the next word is fresh." sam said.
"fresh photos with the bomb lighting!" jake shouted. tara and i shouldve gotten that one. truth hurts was our song when it came out.
"omg this is the tie-breaker." kat told us.
"the last word is...... friends!"
"THIS ONES CALLED WE LOVE OUR FRIENDS." we all yelled at the same time.
"soooo that's ending the game in a tie so i vote that you all have to get the punishment of jumping into the pool." sam said.
"fuck it. let's all do it." colby encouraged.
