1 Month Later

"I know you miss him but can you just pretend that you're happy right now? For me?"

"I'm not good at pretending." i said.

"I understand but.... Reagan you've been like this for almost a month and it's not gonna be better if you're unhappy all the time."

"There's nothing i can do Mason."

"Yes there is. Be happy. Your father is an amazing person and i guarantee that he'll come back home safe and in one piece."

"Whatever."

"I got something for you."

"What?" i looked at him.

He took out a box from the backseat of his car and handed it to me.

"I hope it'll atleast make you feel better about the whole thing. I know you have a few but this might be perfect."

I opened the box and saw a shirt i was too familiar with. I smelt it and look at Mason is shock.

"No way."

"Yes way. Look at the tag."

Looking at it, i realise that it was the same shirt i had for my father eversince i was a baby. When my dad wore it a few times, he washed it once and gave it to me.

"Thanks babe." i smiled and kissed his lips. This was one of my favorite shirts he had.

We finally got out of the car and went into the grocery store.

"My mom sent me $5000 for the month so i have to be on a budget." i told him while pushing the cart.

"I know. You don't gotta spend anything."

"Are you sure?"

"Have you ever spent a dime when you're with me?" he ask.

"Yes. When you left your wallet an-"

"And that was one time. Not even one because i had my credit card on me." he pushed my head off and i laughed.

"I spent on you though." i said.

"Whatever. Pick up some snacks."

"Babe you want the mint oreo or the original?" i ask.

"They don't got the apple pie?"

"Yeah."

"Get that one. And the berry and watermelon."

"I don't like the watermelon." i frowned

"Get the limeade one then."

"I don't like that either."

"Then get the red velvet Jada."

"Alright. Damn."

"I know you tryna be annoying." he bit my cheek.

"I'm not." i giggled.

"You want shirmp or lobster?"

"I'm allergic to seafood babe."

"You was busy telling me everything except for that. I feel dumb for not knowing that."

"Baby it's fine. It's my fault for not telling you."

"What else are you allergic to?"

"You." i laughed.

"Dont get slapped." he looked at me.

"You cant slap me." i said and he put his hands on my cheek.
