Media is all made up btw

Alice, the media person for the Blackhawks, stood on the side of the practice arena. She was waiting for the team to exit the ice for the daily media question. Today's question was: "who's your favourite music artist?"

Bedard was the first one off, always exiting early due to injury once they start doing things he shouldn't be doing. "Uh, gotta go with Zach Bryan." He said to the camera. Once it was turned off, he and Alice chatted for a bit.

She was like an older sister to him. When Con first got to Chicago, Alice helped him feel more comfortable with media and other things with the team. She was dating Lukas Reichel, has been for six years, and engaged to him for two years. They both traveled to Chicago after receiving two different offers: one for hockey, obviously, and one for the media.

Connor walked by to the dressing room as the team started exiting the ice and answering the question. Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae seemed to be the two most common answers amongst the team. Lukas was the last one off to answer the media.

"Mm, gotta go Green Day. Fellow German on the band." He answered with a grin. The camera turned off and Alice wasted no time to hug him.

"I haven't seen you in, like, three hours!" Alice spoke with a purposeful dramatic flare. The man laughed and kissed her head.

"Can I go shower? Then we can go to some cafe or something and get food?" Lukas's way of stating he was hungry has always been suggesting going to some food place rather than saying something.

"Go." She giggled, knowing he was tired and hungry. He kissed her softly and quickly before running off to try and get in the showers before the other boys on his team.

The other media girl looked at her with a smirk. All Alice did was shrug and walk off with the sign that held the question on it as well as the camera wrapped around her neck. Walking into her little media area, she set the sign down and connected the camera to her laptop to begin piecing the clips together.

Around an hour later and half the media video together, the door to the room opened and Lukas walked in. He knew that Alice probably wanted to finish at least most of the video before they left the arena, so he pulled out his phone and texted his mom for a bit since he hasn't talked to her in a few days. After talking to her, he glanced at the video and saw it was almost done, saying it was on his clip.

"Can I see the video?" Lukas asked Alice. She smiled and nodded.

The girl clicked the beginning of the video and allowed her fiancée to watch it. He watched it intently, laughing at a few of his teammate's answers. Once he finished and "gave his approval," she posted it and captioned it. After that, the couple left.

"Mama, ich bin kein Kind mehr!" Alice exclaimed on the phone with her mother. If you couldn't tell, they don't have a wonderful relationship. Her mother thinks that she controls every aspect of her daughter's life.

She hung up on her mother while she was mid sentence and groaned loudly. Lukas reached over and placed his hand gently on her thigh for comfort. The girl smiled and leaned onto his arm across the center console. They pulled up to a German cafe right outside of their apartment.

"Ich liebe diesen Ort." Alice smiled. Lukas smiled back and hugged her into his side as they sat down in their usual booth.

"Soll ich Kaffee holen?" He asked her. She nodded with wide eyes as she scanned over the German menu she's read a million times.

He returned moments later with two coffees in hand. Setting one in front of his fiancée, he sipped his but grimaced at the heat. Alice laughed at him and handed him water, expecting it to happen as he does it every time.

The staff members walked over and set down their usuals in front of them, bratwurst for Alice and maultaschen for Leo. Although they're now in Chicago, America and plan on living here for a while, they always try to keep up with their German heritage. Just a couple Germans knowing every German place in the city.
