Clays eyes widened suddenly and he had the odd urge to rip the headphones from his head.
this was the very tape, other than his own of course, that he had been dreading but also needing to hear.
Hannah Baker and Alexandra Black shared an obvious love hate relationship and even though clay didn't want to admit it,
Hannah was the hate side of the relationship.
But of course. There was always two sides to a
story, and now he got to hear Hannah's side of the story
"So tell me Alexandra, was your life just as perfect as people thought that it was?
Because from what I saw, it wasn't anywhere near as perfect as you made it out to be.
We had a good relationship for most parts but there were some problems
between us, just like every friendship, of course we were due to have our ups and downs, but was the friendship really worth all the downs that we had?
Some would say we were like fire and ice"
"Hey Hannah what's up" Alex asks with a
smile on her face as she approached the girl.
Hannah returned her smile as Alex sat down on the chair in front of Hannah and placed down her iced chocolate while looking over at Hannah's hot chocolate
"We're like fire and ice huh" Alex asks with a
grin on her face and took a mouthful of her
drink, her face scrunching up slightly as the coolness of the drink caused a dull ache in her head
Hannah laughed with her
"I love your new hair cut by the way it looks
amazing," Alex smiles as she points to Hannah's newly cut hair, "it's super cool and really suits your face shape."
"Thanks Lex, so hows everything going in
the amazing life of Alexandra Black?" Hannah asks with a big grin and a small chuckle
Alex sits back in her chair with a giant grin on her face, "It's been pretty great actually. Jeff and I have been practising baseball every
afternoon after school. He's really great at it,
I'd say the best on the team, he has definitely got a great future ahead of him," Alex grins
"Careful, you wouldn't want Montgomery or
Zach hearing that" Hannah laughs
"Oh well it's true" Alex says and shrugs her
shoulders "all my boys are great at the game
it's just jeff is a little better but zachs
definitely the best basketball player, there's no doubt about that."
Hannah couldn't help but smirk softly. Even if Alex didn't notice it, Hannah easily picked up on the fact that Alex was on tangly talking about Jeff and Zach, she talked about them even more than she talked about her own boyfriend.
