"I'm sorry monty but I have to go. Something is wrong with Justin" Alex says quickly and then notices Zach looking down with guilt on his face.
Her eyebrows lift slightly and she walks over to him angrily
"did you know something was wrong?" She asked him accusingly, but she already knew the answer to that. She could read him like a bloody book
Zach doesn't say anything and doesn't look up to her which makes her scoff
"Are you serious Zachary. He's your best fucking friend" Alex growls angrily. "Whatever. I'm going to go find him and make sure that he's okay," she snapped
"Babe it's freezing out there," Monty replied, trying to talk some sense into the girl
"I don't care, that's all the more reason for me to go and find him," she says and goes to leave but Justin comes storming in, a pissed off look on his face
Alex goes over to him quickly but
Montgomery grabs her and pulls her down onto his lap. She tries to stand up and go to Justin but montys grin stays firm around her waist
"It's best to stay out of it" Montgomery whispers to her softly, knowing that it was best for her to just stay back at the moment, he didn't want her getting hurt, and while Monty wasn't sure what was actually going on, he knew that things had seriously changed between Justin and Bryce, and Monty wanted to keep Alex out of that
"That's my fucking brother Monty" Alex says angrily and her cheeks were going slightly red from the stress and anger building up inside of her
Alex's words makes Bryce and Jess turn toward them and a giant smile makes its way onto Bryce walkers face as he says "justy. It's about time you got here. These cards are getting stale come on sit down"
Justin sticks his hands in his pockets awkwardly and says "actually Jess and I had this thing planned"
Alex was filled with confusion as she looked at Justin, something was wrong and Alex could tell Justin wanted the girl out of there and away from Bryce Walker
Jess scoffs at Justin's words and begins to shuffle the deck of cards in her hands "no we don't"
"We were gonna get late dinner" he says and tries to make Jess see what he was doing but she only rolled her eyes as he finishes "Let's go"
"When did you tell me about dinner?" Jess asks "was that before or after you walked out on me today?"
The room went silent and Zach looked over at Alex with pleading eyes, begging her to stay out of it and not become part of the conversation, but she only glared at him
"Oh... Justin it sounds like you better make it up to her" Bryce says "by losing a few hands come on sit" Bryce pats the seat next to him and Justin walks over and sits down hesitantly
"Come on Alex why don't you come over and join us since you don't wanna play any more video games" Bryce smirks at the girl
"Actually I think she's pretty comfortable over here" Montgomery says to Bryce, a stern look on his face, telling Bryce to leave Alex out of this
"She can sit on you later. Get over here Blake," Bryce smirks and Alex rolls her eyes but stands up and walks over to them. She sits down on a seat next to Justin And Zach
Zach clears his throat and shifts in his chair awkwardly "alright, well uh, the game is Texas hold 'em. Five dollar Ante. Five dollar minimum bet"
Alex pulls ten dollars out of her pocket and slams it on the table, giving Justin a concerned look before looking back at Zach
