Kayal's POV

When I entered the room with Jaanu, I couldn't help but wonder how I ended up sharing my deep secrets with Salim. I have had some very intense conversations with him in the past as well. He was a good listener and thankfully didn't make fun of my phobia. Sara had returned from her date. She asked me, "What happened to your dupatta(similar to stole, worn with Churidhar)?"

"There was this idiot who was driving his car very rashly and a young woman got hit by him. He sped off. That woman was bleeding from her head. So, I wrapped my dupatta to her bleeding head."

Jaanu spoke, "Tell her how the hero entered and what he did."

I laughed. Jaanu always thinks that something will come up between Salim and I. "It seems Salim was returning from mosque after his prayers. He was wearing his jhubba. He asked me to get inside his auto and gave me his jhubba to wear. After that he went to his Uncle's place to grab his bag and we returned together. That's it, nothing else."

Sara was excited now, "Nothing else? Kayal, check your stomach. Aren't there any butterflies flying?"

I kept my hand in my stomach. Both of them were waiting for my answer. "Sara, Jaanu, I am terribly hungry."

Sara threw a dupatta at me. "You are hopeless."

All of us left for our lunch.

***********

In the evening, all of us checked our plants. All the vegetables were growing nicely. I thought of making Paratha for tomorrow morning and we can make Cauliflower Sabzi(Side dish in dry form) and Cucumber raitha (Yoghurt). Since these vegetables were free of pesticides we can have as much as we want. After having a long walk in our campus we went to our kitchen.

Sara made Marble cake. It was mouth watering. It was really hard for me to stop myself from snatching few more pieces from Sara and Jaanu. It seems John likes Marble cake. So, she made it for him and packed a huge piece for him. Jaanu made Kalakand (Milk sweet) in Andhra Style. I made Inippu Kozhukattai (similar to dumplings stuffed with coconut and jaggery or pulses and jaggery). After that I texted in the group, "Can anybody please come down? We are coming there with snacks."

I received a text from Salim, "On our way."

Salim and John were running towards the roundtanna and we gave them our snacks box. Within few minutes, we received a message from Salim.

Salim: "Thank you. Everything tastes great. Let me guess. Kayal made Inippu Kozhukattai. Jaanu made Milk sweet and Sara made cake."

Jaanu : "Correct. That milk sweet is called as Kalakand and that cake is Marble Cake, especially made for John. We poor souls were given very small portions of that cake."

Salim: "Thank you everybody. As with the marble cake, Sara, he just gave me a tiny portion. Please stay assured. That cake will be consumed by John only."

Sara: "John please share. Don't be so mean."

John: "No way. Salim didn't let me touch that dumplings sort of thing. He finished off everything. The same thing happens with those Peanut toffees. Harneet and I have never tasted it."

I had to laugh at this message.

Kayal: "Happy to know that you liked my kitchen experiments. Between Salim, I thought at least you weren't a school kid. Or is it the effect of John and Harneet's company? John, next time I will definitely make in larger quantities.
