I stomped out of the sandlot. I can't believe the boys had the nerve to insult me like that and Benny didn't even back me up.

"Y/n! Wait!"

"No Benny, I'm not talking to you!" I shouted back at him, still walking away.

"Y/n you know I love you. Come on."

I stopped and turned around.

"Well then why didn't you say anything?"

Benny walked up to me and took my hands in his. "I didn't know that it was going to make you mad. I would've said something if I knew. You're such a strong girl and you don't take any comments about you to heart so I didn't know you would take this one."

My face looked unamused. Benny grabbed my chin.

"I love you sweetheart and I would do anything for you. I'm sorry that I didn't defend you." I gave Benny a bashful look.

"I love you too. And you're forgiven."

I couldn't stay mad at Benny, he meant to much to me. He gave me a kiss on the cheek and pulled me into a hug.
