While Upper East Siders are hitting the snooze button, Blair Waldorf had a rude awakening when the rooster crowed at dawn this morning
Elizabeth sat at the coffee shop with an envelope in her hand. It was her Columbia letter and she was so nervous. After her talk with Nate about Columbia and him applying she was excited about it which made her more nervous about getting in.
"Hey beautiful" she heard Carter say.
"Nate is gonna be here any minute and I really don't want a fight" she said.
"Fine" he said as Nate walked in.
"Too late" she whispered.
"Baizen" Nate said.
"Archibald" he replied.
"Carter please" Elizabeth said.
"Fine" he said and walked away. Nate sat down and kissed her. She pushed the letter to him.
"Open it" she said.
"It's your letter" he said "Don't you want to be the one who opens it?"
"I'm so nervous" she replied and he opened the letter and began to read. "Nate?"
"You got in!" he said and she got up and hugged him as his phone rang. "Hello?"
Elizabeth got up and walked over to the coffee and poured herself one. Carter leaned on the back counter.
"You got in too...?"
"Columbia" she said.
"What happened to Julliard?"
"I'm waitlisted" she replied.
"So you're giving up on it. That doesn't sound like the Elizabeth Humphrey I know?"
"Of course not" she said
"Hey Liz" Nate said rounding the corner.
"Yeah" she said turning to him.
"You wanna take a trip with me. Chuck needs us" he said.
"Nate, we have school"
"Just take one class off with me" he said "I will make it worth it"
"Fine" she replied then kissed him. "Let me just grab my bag out of the office"
"I'll meet you out here." He replied and glared at Carter.
"Wow" Carter said "He's changing you"
"I ditched school with you all the time Carter" she said.
"That's not what I'm talking about"
"Carter, don't please. I am so happy okay. I love him and I know that breaks your heart but I'm sorry I can't help how I feel"
"Neither can I" he said and walked away. She grabbed her bag and met Nate out front.
"You okay? Everything good with Carter?"
"He's being a jealous ass" she said "Let's not talk about him please"
