The Thing That Doesn't Belong

Aster had been trying to cast spells all morning in Marco's room. But every spell came out...deformed and mutated, to say the least. It seemed the corruption was getting worse. So he opened up the Book of Spells. Glossaryck was inside a tiny bed in there.

"Huh? Who is it? What do you want?" - G

He rubbed his eyes.

"Uh, it's Aster." - A

"Oh, yes. Aster, future king of Mewni. What do you want?" - G

"I need help fixing...that." - A

He gestured to a nearby cluster of all sorts of mutated spells. Most of them were leaking green goo. Glossaryck gasped

"Okay, okay! Don't panic! I'll get the stain remover, you start the car!" - G

"Glossaryck, they aren't dead. I just want help fixing my wand." - A

"Ohh...I see. It seems the contamination has spread." - G

"I know that. But how do we fix it?" - A

"We have to go into your wand." - G

"...that's possible?" - A

He said with a raised eyebrow.

"Of course it is. It's magic. But it's forbidden! Be decree of Moon the Undaunted, you must wear the crown to enter the wand." - G

"Well, Aster the Prodigy decree that this is an emergency. People depend on me. I need this fixed, now." - A

"...okay. Now, the inside of your wand is an extension of your mind and memories. So you must find the thing that doesn't belong." - G

"Which is?" - A

"No idea. You just have to find it." - G

"Okay...What do we have to do?" - A

Glossaryck clapped his hands.

"We're already here." - G

"But...nothing changed." - A

"Because this is the memory of your room. We are inside your wand. Now, remember. It's very important you only listen to the sound of my voice-" - G

Marco came in.

"Hey, have you seen my hoodie?" - M

"Oh, no, sorry." - A

He answered quickly before turning back to Glossaryck who was missing.

"That's not good..." - A

He then looked down to see that his wand was missing.

"Guess I'll have to walk..." - A

He said as he opened his bedroom door. And instead of the hallway he was expecting, it lead directly outside. The outside was some weird blend between Earth and Mewni.

He looked around and kept ending up in front of Echo Creek Academy. He'd seen it around a couple of times but wasn't sure why it was so prominent now.

He kept trying to find another way around it but it always lead him back to the same entrance. He sighed as he opened the doors and went inside. The hallways were as empty as expected, but then a locker opened up on its own. And inside was...Marco's hoodie.

"Hm...is this it?" - A

He took the hoodie and tied it around his waist. He then looked around and frowned at the lack of a reaction.

"Better keep looking then..." - A

He started walking around again and found nothing. So he walked out and headed to a nearby burger place. It was producing infinite burgers and there were weird goat sounds.
