5:00 AM had been displayed on my clock, and here I was still wide awake.

Tired couldn't even describe the way I was feeling. I was overly exhausted and I knew I couldn't sleep knowing Jayon had been sleeping on me. He would have to wake up in 2 hours or less, and I couldn't find it in me to wake him up just to tell him to leave. I knew I was going to get in trouble, but what was the worst that she could do?

Maybe I could lie my way out of this. Just say he needed a place to stay and that I was the only person he came too. I mean, that sounded convincing didn't it?

But then again, it didn't because of the way he had been laying with me. She would begin to assume things that I knew would just make her angrier. I had to get him off me.

"Jayon," I nudge his shoulder a bit before attempting to slide off of my bed. His head rose slightly, eyes still shut. It wasn't long before he laid back down though.

"Jayon please wake up," I try again, standing over his drained body.

"Yes? Dj yes?" His words are shuttered. He was barely awake.

"Jayon you have to go," I rub the back of his head sincerely. "My mom will be waking up soon and-"

"And you don't want her to find out about me," he rudely cuts me off. "Guess we were never gonna meet," his eyes were red when he rubbed them and I looked away.

"It's not like that and you know it," I blink.

"But it is Dj," he slowly gets up, stretching continuously. "You wanted me to come in here just to sneak out,"

He flattens out his clothes and stands to his feet, making eye contact with me while he put on his shoes.

"When can I see you again?" I ask hopelessly, flashing back to the intimate moments we had just hours ago.

"Ask your mother," he says opening the door.

"Jayon wait," my voice changes as I see him walk out of my room. He doesn't even think about who might be in the house when he rushes down my stairs loudly. I hear the front door open and shut almost instantly.

This is exactly what I didn't want to happen. I knew he'd get sensitive about me kicking him out especially after everything that's happened between us so suddenly, plus the fact of me telling him he could basically spend the night to meet my mother the next morning. I had actually lied to him about that, and it was selfish of me.

I hear Deon's door open slightly. I hadn't tried to follow after Jayon, so my door was still wide open. I tried to shut it, but Deon's foot appeared in my doors way.

"What now?" I ask him. Surprisingly I hadn't felt any tears streaming down my face from Jayon's outburst.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

"No," I shake my head. "But I'm done crying,"

"You can cry sis," Deon tells me, still looking at me through my half closed door.

"Just go back to sleep okay, get some rest. I'll talk to you later," I tell him. He takes his foot out the door and nods.

I sit on my bed, rubbing the sheets softly. I couldn't believe that Jayon actually hadn't answered my question about seeing him again.

We couldn't text now nor could we actually get on the phone because of my phone mishap. My heart had already began to sink when I thought of the distance me and him would have to endure. I was already dealing with not getting to see my best friend like I use too, and now I knew Jayon would ignore me. For days.

I didn't wake up till it was almost 5 pm.

My neck was sore and so were my legs. It was a horrible combination but I knew exactly why I was feeling this way.

I didn't want to think of his name, or even say it aloud.

I knew my mother had been in my room because she left my door cracked after I had shut it earlier this morning.

I put on my slippers and push my hair back, making my way down the stairs where I heard the living room television noises blasting.

"Turn that down Deon, I have a headache," I tell him going into the kitchen.

"Dj what happened before you brought Jayon here? Did you and Adrian find Amber?"

I grab a box of of Cookie Crisps from the top of the refrigerator and hop on the countertop.

"Yes we found her," I say, shoving a handful in my mouth. "A lot happened. I don't wanna talk about it nor explain it. She's in the hospital right now, and I need to go see her again before it's night time,"

Deon nods. "I'm glad she's okay,"

"Me too," I shake my head. I knew she wasn't okay though. "I actually have some searching to do today,"

I hop off of the counter quickly.

"Mom asked me if you were okay," Deon tells me, stopping me in my tracks from heading back up the stairs.

"For what?"

"I don't know. She's clueless about you leaving and bringing him here though, even though he was being an ass earlier. He could have easily woken her up,"

"You're right," I couldn't even defend him. He could have gotten me in trouble from the way he left my house. My mother must've been tired because she usually would have busted the door open with some concerning questions.

"But where are you going?" He asks.

"Out, no you can't come."

"Trust me I wasn't going to ask. You seem a bit shaken up from whatever occurred last night and I honestly don't wanna be apart of that anyway,"

"Glad you feel that way Deon. Maybe while you're at it you could dial up your boyfriend and see if he's okay," my words cut a deep hole in Deon's expression from the way he looks at me. I look away, stomping up the stairs with no regret in me this time.
