*Djs POV*

My family had been scattered across my living room. The music was loud, and so were they.

Jayon had looked like a lost puppy following behind me. My mother seen him almost immediately, giving him a big smile.

"Happy Birthday!" He shouted over the music.

"Thank you Jayon!" She yelled back at him.

I had took him to the back of my house, showing him to all of my younger cousins that had been playing on the trampoline. They loved meeting new people.

"Y'all, this is my.." I pause because I didn't want to call him my boyfriend infront of them. They would bug us both all day.

He made eye contact with me, thinking the same thing. He shook his head with a grin.

"This is um, my friend," I say.

One of my younger cousins slid off of the trampoline, more children had followed behind her.

"Your friend?" She asked.

"Yes," I say; he nods.

"He's to fine to be your friend, he can be my boyfriend," my little cousin Amara had said.

I covered my mouth in embarrassment. Maybe bringing him out here wasn't a good idea. He should have met the mature family members first. But either way, Amara would have seen him and would have definitely made it a priority to make us uncomfortable.

Jayon had laughed, kneeling and putting his hand out to high-five my younger twin cousins. They both took off their shades, and placed them on the ground.

"I'm Cayden," one of them said.

"I'm Jayden," the other one says.

"Y'all fresh as hell huh?" Jayon dusted off their denim jackets. The smile he had given them was beautiful.

"Uh, hello?" Amara spoke, separating the twins with her short arms to get Jayon's attention.

"Hello," Jayon laughs again.

Watching him interact with my cousins had been amusing. It was like he was used to being around little kids.

My other young cousins had just stood around and watched for a little while, before waving to the both of us as they climbed back inside the trampoline.

"Do you have Snapchat?" Amara asked, pulling out her phone.

"You're how old?" Jayon was astonished at the size of her phone, and how well she spoke to be so young.

"I'm 8, and you?" She winked.

"Welp, Dj I think it's time for us to go back inside," Jayon stood from his knees.

I couldn't help myself from laughing. The look on his face showed he had been out of place.

"Amara, get back in the trampoline," I told her.

She rolled her eyes, putting her phone back into her pocket and following my orders.

I grabbed Jayon's hand again. "Come on," I told him.
