The chaotic episode that occurred between me and Dj seemed to throw everyone off at first. It was awkward with all of us until more of Jasmine's friends arrived.

Dj had came inside. She apologized to Jasmine several times, and than several more times. Jasmine had forgave her, but I knew she still felt bad, because what she had done was unlike her. She knew Jasmine seen all of it and it bothered her to know that had to be the first encounter they had with each other.

Jasmine's party had gotten loud by the number of times the doorbell rung. I thought it would never be over. By 9, our house was filled with teenagers. I didn't expect my little sister to know half as much people as she did, but then again I wasn't surprised. Our family line had sprung popularity for generations.

I leaned back on the sofa, watching all of them dance to the stereos that had been hooked up from our previous event. They had been playing all of the mediocre songs of 2016, featuring some old songs from the 2000's. I wasn't surprised though, since I was the one that helped Jasmine with her playlist. I knew they would like all of the music.

I was glad to see a smile on my sisters face. It was funny though, because the main one that had been making sure she was smiling was Adrian. It was then when I realized, that they were actually a cute ass couple. It actually could have worked out.

"How do you feel about them?" Dj had asked. She sat next to me, eating a vanilla cupcake.

I laughed. "They cool," I told her.

"Amber damn near had a heart attack when she found out," she tells me, her mouth half full.

"I'm not surprised," I said. Of course she did. If anyone was to have a heart attack it should have been me though. That was MY little sister.

"I did too, frankly. It was just weird at first. But now I see that they're genuinely happy with each other," Dj spoke, licking frosting off her fingers.

"I just hope they last," I told her, looking directly into her eyes. She did the same thing, but looked away seconds later. She crumbled the cupcake wrapper into her hands and stood up. "I'm gonna throw this away," she said awkwardly.

"Alright," I grinned. The way she acted sometimes still amazed me.

Another girl taller than Dj had taken her spot. She looked annoyed, but it wasn't my place to ask what was wrong.

Dj didn't notice the girl had sat in her spot because she had been too busy trying to find a garbage can.

"Fuck this," the girl said. She had said it loud enough for me to hear but quiet enough for no one else too.

I looked at her clearly. She had a pierced nose and straight black hair that was in a bun. She was decent looking, but she didn't look anywhere near Jasmine's age.

I seen Dj walking back towards the couch slowly. She looked at me then back at the girl suspiciously. I grinned, shrugging. She shook her head and took the nearest seat that was available, still eyeing the girl.

"Oh, my bad were you sitting here?" The girl asked. Dj nodded.

"Sorry," she said, getting up immediately. She turned to me. "Tell Jasmine I'm leaving okay?"

"Yeah," I said. I hoped she wasn't one of Jasmine's close friends.

Dj stood up, taking the seat back next to me.

"She looks about 17," Dj spoke.

"I know."

"You know her?"

"No."

"Mm." She takes her phone out of her pocket, which catches me off guard. Last time I checked, she didn't have a phone.
