You were happy to finally be home. It was almost 5:30 by the time you were done helping Jay move into New Jericho and then spending time with everybody. You'd asked them all to keep your return a secret for now. You wanted to surprise Gavin, Collin, and Hank with your return.

You helped Connor get all of your things inside. As soon as you made it to the bedroom with your suitcase, the cats were instantly all over you. You smiled, giggling as they greeted you.

"Hey, everyone. It's good to see you too. Wow, you've all grown so much! Who allowed that? You guys were supposed to stay small and cute forever." You teased them. They still hopped around happily as you sat down on the edge of the bed.

Connor smiled, but he let you be as he went to get the rest of your things. You hadn't noticed that he'd left. When he came back with the rest of your stuff, your eyes widened.

"Oh, Connor, I'm sorry. I got distracted. Here, let me help." He chuckled.

"It's alright. I got it all." He set it down and smiled as he came over. He kissed your temple. "Welcome home." You blushed and smiled warmly at him.

"It's good to be home. And here I'll stay." You promised, giving him a hug. You also slipped in a quick peck on the cheek, smirking as his face became dusted with the light blue you'd grown to adore.

"So, since it's been such a long day, what would you like to do this evening?" He asked. You thought about it.

"I honestly don't know. I don't feel like being active. I'm just glad to be home." You admitted. He smiled.

"I think I have the perfect idea." He led the way out to the couch and you got the idea. You grabbed a big blanket and sat down. He went into the kitchen and got some (drink) for both of you. He sat down, handing you a glass. "Would you like a snack, love?" You blushed at the nickname. You'd missed him calling you that.

You smirked as you got an idea. I wonder how much I can make HIM blush~ You had no shame as you just came out and said it.

"Besides you?" His face burst out blue and he almost dropped the drinks. You laughed and he grinned, extremely embarrassed.

"I-I should've expected that, right?" You giggled and nodded.

"But seriously, it's alright. You and the drink are enough. I'm only thirsty anyway." You said, taking a sip while also trying to hold in your snickers as Connor's face glowed brighter. He sat down next to you, covering up as you cuddled up to him. He chuckled and gladly held you closer.

"So, I take it my idea was approved?" He asked, a hint of tease in his voice. You chuckled as you took your eyes away from the movie you'd turned on while he'd been getting the drinks.

"Most definitely, Chief." You said.

"(Y/n), may I ask you something?"

"Yeah, always. What is it?"

"Why do you call me that? I-I mean, I understand I gave you a few nicknames, but where did that one come from?" He asked.

"Well, I'm a cop and so are you so...it fits, I guess." You admitted. He smiled.

"Well, I liked it before, so I don't mind. I was just curious." You giggled.

"You're always curious, Connor."

"I know."

Gavin's POV

My eyes opened, greeted once again by the blinding light coming from my window. I was about to grumble a complaint, but I felt arms around me waist tighten and I relaxed a bit. I sighed heavily, scooting back to push myself closer to him. This woke him up and I heard him chuckle, even though it kinda came out as more of a hum-like.
